Flat prices in former capital of Kazakhstan are skyrocketing and investors sees gold.

During the last couple of years prices rose from $40.000 to $300.000 for a 3 room flat in Almaty, Kazakhstan. People who saw this happen became rich very fast - still there's a chance to make money in the country.

Flat prices in Almaty, Kazakhstan are skyrocketing!
5-6 years ago the price of a flat in Almaty was around $40.000 for a 3 room one. Today it is around $300.000! What has caused this to happen many people are asking themself and the big questions is - How long will this continue. Still there is a chance to make money in the country. If you don't have $300.000 you can still buy flats and houses in other cities and wait a year or two and sell it expensive.
One example is the city of Taldykurgan. There a 3 room flat cost around $80.000 today. Half a year ago it was $35.000. If you have some cash and want to invest you should look into Kazakhstan. Anyway, the future of Kazakhstan looks bright. The economy is quickly growing up and some people are making big money. Others who does'nt own a flat or house are having a tough time because prices are rising quick. This is sad I think.
Another big question in the country is wether the government will ban all imported (millions) right handed cars. They were a bit cheaper to buy so many people bought them. Now the government want to ban them. I don't know why but it seems like a very strange idea. OK to ban new imports but what about the million of cars already in the country? Quite strange.
Update: I wrote the above article in 2007 and now in 2008 the inflation has hit Kazahstan big. Houses are standing and nobody has money to invest and finish them. Foreign companies left Kazakhstan due to internal problems and the debt crisis in US. Today people are working harder to earn their money just to pay it again for expensiver utilites and food prices. We hope this situation will change soon.
